WTK: PERSONAL IMPORT OF AUG3

hello, i am austrian but living in the usa. i was wondering if i can take along an aug from austria or elsewhere in europe. My uncle does have a aug2/full automatic he would be willing to give me, because he never used it and has no need for it. Is there any way to bring it over? Or are you not allowed to own full automatic or just not allowed to buy them. and is there an aftermarket conversion to change that eventually? i don't know to much about weapons, but i always wanted to train on an aug for some reason. Maybe because it is my home gun or whatever. It would be very nice if someone would let me know some information what and where to buy here in the united states as well. i like the aug3 full automatic, but i heard that one is only avail. for law enforcement. And what is up with those conversions so it can use different ammo? are they better, worse or just different. and what's would be the major difference on the 9mm? sounds a litte crazy to me. and if you really can buy a semi only, will that be the only difference in quality? And are you allowed to change it back to full automatic? What equippment is available and is steyr the only one for that? Are there any statistics available of all the aug's? I am sorry for asking so many questions, but the forum got supposedly spammed and there is almost nothing left to read about. The admin ment to start over again.
