Hello again, sorry to hear that you have caused damage most likely to the seal and gas filling. Yes, the augs come with that little nickel size parkerized adjusting tool with two tips and a hole for your dog tag chain. The central part rotates in the outer nut. If you get a fogging problem in the scope you'll have to send it away for service. I would get the donut with crosshair reticle installed while I were having other work done. The newer augs have outer nuts that require a special splined wrench to turn them, in order to avoid your problem. I think it would be nice if the scopes had finger adjustment of reticle in the first place, rather than needing a tool. If you don't take your aug to different colder places, you may never find out if humidity has entered the housing. Did you get a manual and any advice with the gun? I hope that you will get it working and let us know how you do. Do you plan to hunt with it? Maybe then you will be able to post a bragging photo.
It would be great to get a feral hog with an aug for a barbecue.
