I just realized that in your message you said that you had the manuals, but I guess you didn't get any experienced advice. It looks like you have the manuals with the poor English translations from Austrian German. There are some better ones like the one I ordered from Steyr for the international military market in English. Some of the new manuals replace part numbers that were metric industry standard and put in special company numbers.
As for the attitude of the other writer, at least he isn't from France ;-) ! But he works for the cops, so be nice, like you were.
It's just one of those areas in which one must go slowly. We've all made mistakes and sometimes they cost us.
