TDP is another US manufacturer of AUGs

This may be old news to most here, but I've learned that TDP is another private venture, just like Pete's venture into the STG556. TDP used a mix of factory and domestic parts to produce a US-made AUG for SHOT Show 2007. The receiver was an ADI Australian one, the stock was the Steyr factory stock with the provision to accept NATO standard (AR-15/M-16) mags. The magazine is indeed a MAGPUL product, and I think the balance of the parts was TDP's own products, but the trigger pack could be Steyr. TDP did not have their own receiver ready for the SHOT Show. I think they are expecting to deliver rifles by Summer 2007.

I suspect that TDP is not working with a Steyr factory technical data package, but it's funny how TDP also spells out "technical data package". I have to wonder if some parts have to be fitted when combining factory (Steyr & ADI) parts with private venture parts. The interfacing of critical components might not be the same. I would think that Pete's venture with the STG556 wouldn't have any dimensional issues as all his components are worked out prior to production.
