FYI: Sad time for AUG owners, Pete/Pjs new project

Just wanted to let Pete Athens the owner of Pjs Investments know how much the Steyr AUG community already misses his business & services.

For the past 20 years or so if we needed a Steyr AUG or USR part or had a question concerning an AUG or USR we knew who to call. He would always answer your call or return your call and never was short with you even if you were buying an AUG from someone else and was asking him for advice. How many dealers do you know like that? With Pete you always got the best service and he was always fair with his prices. Remember the $699 new 24" AUG barrel deal or the $699 new factory 14" deal?
What about the $899 special A2 receiver deal? I have dealt with a lot of guys out there in the gun world and I can't say that anyone tops Pete in service and reputation. When you bought something from Pjs like a $10 sight tool or a $5000 AUG you always received the same type service. He is one of the few dealers that always described the items correctly. When he said like new you would swear it was brand new. Ask a Steyr AUG question on any gun board out there and you will see that many will advise you to contact Pete with PJS Investment. Pete is the only guy I know out there that can repair your NFA AUG correctly. Do a search on the web and see how many guys had given up on their AUGs and were ready to sell them for they could not get them to run correctly. Once they sent them to Pete with only a week turn around time they loved their AUG. Pete could make the worst run the best. I hope he continues to help out us class 3 AUG guys at least.

I missed out on Pete refinishing my black AUG, he refinished a green AUG of mine and he made it look factory new. None better in the business.

Don't know much about Microtech Knives, but I know they did get the best guy in the Steyr AUG business for the STG 556 project. Without Pete Athens I know the STG 556 wouldn't be getting that much attention.

Pete, who is going to refinish my Steyr AUG or provide me the parts or service I need to keep my NFA AUGs running? I hope you find time for us "original" Steyr AUG guys in the near future once your STG 556 project is up and running.

Pete you are already greatly missed, I wish you luck in your venture with Microtech.

I am sure others here feel the same way.

Good luck,
Jerry R.
